About Us - Fontanella wines

 Karen Fontanella and her husband, Winemaker Jeff Fontanella, own and operate Fontanella Family Winery located on Mt. Veeder in Napa Valley.  The winery specializes in Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Chardonnay and sits on a spectacular property perched in the Western hills of Napa Valley overlooking the San Francisco Bay to the South and Napa Valley to the North.  When Karen graduated with a law degree from the University of San Diego in 2000, never in her wildest dreams did she imagine she'd be running a winery in Napa one day. However, her professional legal experience in business development, land use, and commercial real estate – coupled with her family spirit of entrepreneurship – armed Karen with the exact tools she uses today to run the daily business operations of Fontanella Family Winery. When she's not seeing to the day-to-day operations of the winery, Karen enjoys spending her “free” time sitting on local non-profit Boards and tending to the needs of her two growing sons, now teenagers.
